7 ACOUSTIC RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A QUIET OFFICE

Reverberation time is the time it takes for a sound to become inaudible. Long reverberation time can be disturbing and make it difficult to perceive speech sounds and maintain concentration, which causes stress. At Akustikmiljö, we often work with premises such as offices, schools, restaurants, where short reverberation of around 0.5 seconds is desirable. Here are seven simple tips for how an office can be more pleasant to work in.

1. Sound absorbing wall

HONEY is a playful and modular wall absorbent with panels that can be varied to form unique patterns in different colors, with or without textile. HONEY has a 3-dimensional expression thanks to the different thicknesses of the absorbents. HONEY is an effective sound absorber manufactured by EcoSUND that consists of recycled PET.

2. Screen at workplace

Screen walls behind and to the side of the desk frame the workplace.

3. Sound absorbing ceiling

With OFF THE GRID in the ceiling, both sound attenuation and an eye-catching interior detail are created. Add with plants and lamps for an extra stylish finish.

4. Hanging shielding

Cobogo shielding panel catches and stops sharp depths bouncing around the room. Available in several lovely color combinations and can also be put on a sliding rail for easy panel movement.

5. Print on wall

Decorate the room with stylish printed boards in absorbent material. With or without a frame and in several colors and shapes.

6. Room-within-a-room

For larger areas, a room-within-a-room concept can be added. Perfect for shorter lunch meetings.

7. Furniture and plants

Furnished rooms have a sound-diffusing effect, something that is enhanced by plants.
